MOSCOW — U.S. industrialist Armand Hammer scored a hole-in-one for Western golfers today when he announced that he will finance the Soviet Union’s first golf course.
The 18-hole, 72-par course will stretch over 6,800 yards at the Nakhabino sports center, 18 miles outside Moscow. But it will be open for use only by diplomats and other foreigners.
