Ireland’s Barry McGuigan, former world featherweight champion hoping for a title match with Nelson, continued his comeback by stopping Thomas da Cruz of Brazil in the fourth round at Luton, England.
The victory came two years and two days after McGuigan (31-2) lost to Cruz.
