City’s Sweep of Two Downtown Homeless Encampments

I am writing, as I hope thousands of your readers do, to protest the extraordinary outrage perpetrated by city police and sanitation officials.
It is always sad that some have and some have not basic fundamental necessities of life; but when those who have intentionally oppress those who have not, it is more than sad. It is really evil. And it is oppression to take from the poorest of the poor what little property they have--a blanket to wrap oneself in at night, life-sustaining medicine, identification papers that are keys to existence in today’s bureaucracy-run life.
