Local News in Brief : Electrical System Blamed for $75,000 Fire
- Share via
A fire that caused $75,000 damage to a Van Nuys electrical circuit manufacturing company was the result of a faulty electrical system, authorities said Monday.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received a report of smoke coming from Delta Circuits, 15751 Stagg St., at 7:19 p.m. Sunday, said spokesman Jim Williamson. Firefighters extinguished the fire within 30 minutes, Williamson said.
There were no injuries.
Fire investigators were unable to enter the plant to determine the cause of the blaze until late Sunday night because of a warning posted on the building that dangerous chemicals were sometimes stored there, Williamson said. He said he did not know if any chemicals were found.
