Multimedia Entertainment is making an offer many TV stations may not be able to refuse: “Donahue” in prime time to cover for shows missing from fall lineups due to the 18-week-old writers’ strike. Multimedia, which produces and syndicates Phil Donahue’s talk show, has announced it will offer “Donahue” to all 208 of its outlets nationally should the stations want to use the show in prime time. Nor is it an all-or-nothing proposal, Multimedia says. Stations may choose to run “Donahue” as many nights a week as they wish.
