Fairfax : Electric Station Work Begins
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has begun construction of an electricity-distributing station at the corner of Beverly Boulevard and Harper Avenue.
Workers last week began grading the site, a process that is expected to last five weeks. The grading will precede construction of the building’s foundation, said DWP Project Manager Donald R. Penn. Once the grading is completed, workers will install underground electrical conduits to distribute electricity to neighborhoods in the area, he said. The facility is expected to be completed in spring, 1990.
