Astronaut Patch Recalls Comrades

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — A drawing of a space shuttle lifting off against a backdrop of a rainbow as a symbol of astronauts’ return to space is featured on the patch the crewmen will wear on the second post-Challenger shuttle flight.
A picture of the patch, sprinkled with seven stars to commemorate the memory of the Challenger crew members, was released Friday.
