Cal Thomas’ thoughts regarding the faltering hopes of the “religious right” ring true (“Religious Right Is Running Out of Gas,” Op-Ed Page, July 17). Historically, biblical Christianity prospers most when threatened and suppressed. This has hardly been the case during the Reagan Administration years. It will take four years of the Democratic Party’s socialist agenda to alarm and reunify them.
