Boy Scouts Honor Whittier Couple

The L.A. Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, has presented its highest honor, “The Good Scout Award,” to Ed and Ruth Shannon of Whittier in recognition of their years of community service on behalf of youth.
The Shannons are the parents of three children who have been active in scouting. They have also been involved with Whittier College, the Presbyterian Inner-Community Hospital, United Way and Harvey Mudd College.
