LKM IV, part of Larwin Investment Co. in Encino, bought eight buildings on West Central and Berry streets in Brea for $8 million . . . Caltrans signed a 10-year, $16-million lease for 127,000 square feet of a converted warehouse on East Carnegie Street in Santa Ana, which will be Caltrans’ first permanent office in Orange County . . . McCarthy/Pacific’s Irvine office was named general contractor on the $25-million first phase of construction of Pomona Valley Community Hospital . . . The Pacific Co. in Irvine bought a Riverside apartment complex for $6.7 million from Pacific Scene in Walnut, reported brokerage Coldwell Banker . . . Orange County government signed a 20-year, $15-million lease for 100,000 square feet in the former Buffums department store on North Main Street in Santa Ana, which was bought last year and is being converted into offices by Hutton Development Co., Santa Ana.
