Pearl Sinn, 21, of Bellflower, Calif., won the 88th U.S. Women’s Amateur golf championship at Minneapolis with a 6-and-5 victory over Karen Noble, 20, of Convent Station, N.J.
Sinn, an Arizona State senior who played earlier this year on the losing U.S. Curtis Cup team in England, likely will be named to the U.S. Women’s World Amateur team which will compete in Sweden Sept. 8-11.
