Voter Apathy
I have been trying to understand elections for as long as I can remember by talking with adults, reading newspapers, and watching both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions. In four years I’ll be eligible to vote. I hope by then I’ll be able to figure out why instead of voting for a person for his good qualities, we are forced to vote for the lesser of two evils, and why increasing numbers of adults are being turned off.
It would seem to me that some of the political figures who chose not to get involved for personal reasons must share the responsibility for poor government, poor voter turnouts and disappointed youths such as myself.
