Best Products Co. said it rejected a $522-million cash buyout offer, but the Richmond, Va.-based discount retailer would not rule out ultimately selling the company. Best said it was holding discussions with interested parties and “exploring strategic options for the purpose of enhancing or maximizing shareholder values,” including a possible sale of the company. Best did not identify the source of the $21-a-share offer.
