South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa...

South Coast Repertory Theatre in Costa Mesa has received a $5,000 grant from the Ford Motor Co. toward a California Arts Council challenge grant. David Emmes, producing artistic director, announced the grant at the Sept. 23 West Coast premiere of Eric Overmyer’s “In Perpetuity Throughout the Universe.” The $43,500 CAC matching grant requires SCR to raise three dollars for each dollar received. On Sept. 20, the council announced reinstatement of the challenge grant, part of a $1 million grant that had been withdrawn after a budget review.
