Boxer Mitch Green Arrested Again

Former heavyweight boxing contender Mitch Green drove his automobile into a parked car in Queens early Sunday and was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving, his third arrest in 11 days, police said.
According to police, Green was slurring his speech, had alcohol on his breath and appeared lethargic when two Housing Authority officers spotted him about 1 a.m., standing beside his car in the South Jamaica section of Queens.
He had apparently lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked car, police said.
Green was taken to a police precinct, where he refused to submit to a test to determine his blood-alcohol level. Motorists who refuse the test automatically lose their New York state driving privileges.
He was taken to Queens Hospital Center where the emergency room supervisor said Green had no injuries.
In a previous run-in with police on Sept. 21, Emergency Services Unit officers were forced to used a 50,000-volt stun gun to subdue Green after police were unable to arrest him during an outburst on a Harlem street.
Three days later, Green was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after a girlfriend, Gadson Ballaries, 32, complained to police that Green had beaten her.
