Dynamite stolen in March surfaced early Monday when a National City resident in the 800 block of Pleasant Lane found two sticks and one electric blasting cap in his back yard, sheriff’s deputies said.
Phillip Erwin, 24, a painter, found the dynamite and called police.
The dynamite was said to be part of 800 pounds of the explosive stolen from Gordon Carter Construction Co. in Ramona.
Police said they have no suspects and the investigation is continuing.
