Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : Acting City Attorney Selected for Position

The City Council has named Stuart B. Scudder city attorney, a job he has held on a temporary basis for the past six months.
Scudder, 56, served for two years as deputy to former City Atty. Eric Lauterer, who was fired last April after 17 years in the post.
Previously, Scudder worked for the cities of Compton, Torrance and Redondo Beach. He has also been an instructor of law and business mathematics for the Los Angeles Community College District and Long Beach City College.
