A high school football player injured during a scrimmage at Windsor, Conn., died of a blow to the chest so severe that it caused his heart to stop, the state medical examiner’s office said.
Norman Edwards, an 18-year-old senior at Windsor High School, died Wednesday about 2 hours after being injured.
