Kudos for not following the lead of Keith Olbermann in attacking Florence Griffith Joyner.
It is comforting to this member of the minority community that some portion of the media is attempting to maintain a healthy disdain for slurs and innuendo, forgoing the opportunity to take a cheap shot at a public figure. I can offer these articles in evidence of how far we’ve come, and Olbermann’s and Fred Roggin’s reporting as evidence of how far we have to go.
