American Multi-Cinema Inc., Cinema International Corp. and United Artists Communications Inc. have signed a joint-venture agreement to form a major cinema chain in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The joint-venture company, to be based in London and named AMC (U.K.) Ltd., will be owned equally by the three partners. Charles J. Wesosky has been named chief executive of the new venture.
