‘Insurance: Yes on 100’
In his column on insurance reform (Op-Ed Page, Oct. 12), William C. George lists what he calls five “undeniable truths.” What he failed to include was the undeniable truth that insurance rates in California are exorbitant and continue to rise with virtually no regulation. Voting no on all five initiatives, as he suggests, will send a message to the Legislature that consumers approve of the insurance industry’s unlimited rate increases, price fixing and anti-trust exemptions.
After examining materials on all the initiatives, it is clear that Proposition 100 offers the only real solution to the insurance crisis.
Voting no on the five insurance initiatives is no solution.
