About $95.4 million in seized assets forfeited by drug traffickers and organized crime figures will be used to expand federal prison space, the Justice Department announced. Atty. Gen. Dick Thornburgh transferred the money from the assets forfeiture fund under an amendment approved last year by the Senate.
