Two teen-age boys suffered minor gunshot wounds to the legs in a drive-by attack Saturday night at a Westminster street corner, police said.
The boys, 15 and 16, were taken to Humana Hospital Westminster after the 8:30 p.m. attack at Starsia Street and Hazard Avenue. Because the victims are juveniles, their names were not released.
The teen-agers were standing with a group of other boys on the west side of Starsia when a vehicle going west on Hazard slowed down and someone inside opened fire with an unknown type of weapon, said Westminster Police Sgt. Larry Russell.
The vehicle sped away, and the suspects remained at large late Saturday. Russell said the incident is possibly gang-related.
