Children to Host Dinner for Homeless
As part of a program to encourage community service among members, children from the Newport Mesa Girls Club will host a Thanksgiving dinner for the Orange County Interfaith Shelter for the Homeless at 6 p.m. Monday.
New and short-term residents of the center will be driven to the Girls Club on Anaheim Street in Costa Mesa, where they will dine together.
This event is a cooperative effort by the children, parents, volunteers and area businesses. The children will do most of the preparation including the cooking, decorating and serving.
