Chapman Easily Wins Exhibition

Senior forward Russ Ortega scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the first half to lead Chapman to a 91-70 victory over the University of Manitoba in an exhibition basketball game at Chapman Wednesday.
Senior Mike Minier added 23 points, and Bryan Richetto scored 13 and had 10 assists. Minier, who played at Mission Viejo High School and Saddleback College, was 3 of 3 on 3-point shots.
Mark Hilton had 10 points and a game high 8 rebounds for Chapman, which opens the regular season Saturday at home against Pomona-Pitzer.
