USC Women Open Basketball Season

The USC women’s basketball team will open its 1988-89 season against the Australian junior national team at 4 p.m. today at the USC North Campus Gym. Coach Linda Sharp has only two starters returning from last season’s 22-8 team--senior Cherie Nelson, who averaged 23.8 points and 10.8 rebounds as a junior, and All-Pacific 10 guard Karon Howell.
