MacLean Leads Bruins to Win

Freshman forward Don MacLean, fast becoming a fan favorite at Pauley Pavilion even before the official start of the season, scored 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Tuesday night as UCLA beat the Adelaide West End 36ers, 92-77, in an exhibition basketball game.
MacLean was given an ovation from the crowd of 3,882 when he left the game with 2 1/2 minutes to play.
Other Bruins in double figures were forward Trevor Wilson (16 points), center Kevin Walker (15) and reserve guard Darrick Martin (13).
