Forty-four more charges were filed against Danny Harris, some in connection with the rapes of at least 18 women in Orange County, police said. Harris is already in custody in connection with a rape and burglary in Garden Grove last July, police said.
Harris, also known as Dannis Harris, is suspected of raping at least 18 women in Anaheim, Fullerton, Santa Ana and Garden Grove, dating back to December, 1985, Garden Grove Police Lt. John Urbanowski said.
On Monday, 44 felony counts charging Harris with burglary, forcible rape and attempted rape were filed against him by the Orange County district attorney’s office after a police investigation allegedly linked him to other sex crimes through physical evidence, Urbanowski said.
Harris’ arrest July 4 stemmed from a residential burglary and rape in Garden Grove, Urbanowski said.
Harris remains in custody in Orange County Jail.
