Cloudy and Cool May Give Way to Warm and Sunny

It will probably be a bit cloudy and cool today, say the forecasters, but the weekend should be sunny and warm.
“Along with that cloudiness, I’ll throw in just a slight chance for some light rain,” said meteorologist Patricia Cooper of WeatherData, which provides forecasts to The Times.
The National Weather Service agreed, forecasting that maximum Los Angeles temperatures will rise slightly on Saturday and Sunday from a 65- to 72-degree range today.
Some wind will still be around in the Southland mountain areas, where northwest winds to 30 m.p.h. should shift to northeast by Saturday--thereby introducing a mild Santa Ana condition. Winds in the deserts should decrease over the weekend.
