Gunman Opens Bank Early

A masked gunman today herded employees of a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Studio City into the vault, then escaped with an undetermined amount of money, Los Angeles police said.
Police spokesman Don Lawrence said the crime occurred at 9:10 a.m before the bank, at 12251 Ventura Blvd., opened for business. Police said the robber, described as wearing a gray suit, fled on a white motorcycle. No one was injured in the incident, they said.
