High School Basketball : Big 2nd Half Seals Win for Granada Hills

Granada Hills outscored Poly by 13 points in the first quarter and went on to whip Poly, 89-63, in a nonleague game at Poly.
Senior center Joey Rosas (15 points) and senior forward Alvin Brown (12) led the Highlanders in scoring.
Trailing after one quarter, 22-9, the Parrots made a second-quarter run to close within 6 points by halftime, but the Highlanders outscored them, 47-27, in the second half.
John Bruner led Poly with 23 points and Juan Estrada added 15.

Dos Pueblos 58, Royal 57--Dos Pueblos, trailing, 11-0, 2 minutes into the first period, rallied to win in a semifinal game of the Simi Valley tournament.
Royal missed a chance to score with 5 seconds remaining when forward J. P. Ouellette bobbled a pass.
Dos Pueblos forward Bill Barry led the Chargers with 22 points. The Chargers (2-0) made 22 of 54 field-goal attempts (41%). Ouellette finished with 22 points for Royal (1-1).
