Trabuco Hills Seeks First Section Title in School’s History

Trabuco Hills High School will play host to Pacific Coast League rival Woodbridge at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Mission Viejo High in the Southern Section Division VIII championship football game.
Trabuco Hills (11-2) defeated Woodbridge, 17-13, in the Pacific Coast League finale to stop Woodbridge’s 13-game winning streak that spanned 2 seasons. Woodbridge (12-1) is the division’s defending champion; Trabuco Hills is seeking its first championship in any sport in the school’s 4-year history.
Los Alamitos (12-0-1), making its second consecutive championship appearance, will play host to Paramount (11-1) in the Division III title game at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.
Valencia (12-0-1), which has advanced to the championship game in 3 consecutive seasons, will meet host Corona del Mar (11-0-2) at 7:30 p.m. Friday for the Division VI title in LeBard Stadium. Valencia is undefeated in its last 20 games.
Fountain Valley (11-2) will meet host Bishop Amat (11-2) for the Division I championship at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Anaheim Stadium. Fountain Valley defeated Bishop Amat, 42-14, in the quarterfinals of the 1987 playoffs en route to the championship game.
