Chrysler Sales Exceed 2 Million Vehicles

HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. — Chrysler Corp. announced the sale of its 2-millionth vehicle in 1988, the fourth straight year in which it has sold more than 2 million cars and trucks.
Chrysler reported tgar its dealers had sold 1,083,524 cars and 918,727 trucks at the close of business Tuesday, for a total of 2,002,251 vehicles. Nov. 29 is the earliest date of the past four years on which Chrysler has broken the 2 million vehicle barrier, it added.
