Dana Roberts Gains Control of Driver Firm

Dana Roberts, president and chief executive officer of C.W. Driver Contractors, Los Angeles, has purchased the remaining equity held by brothers Warren and Ed Driver and is now sole owner of the 69-year-old firm.
Roberts, 39, has spent his entire career with the firm, founded by Clarence W. Driver, the father of Warren and Ed. Roberts became general manager in 1979, acquired substantial equity in 1981, and has been president and CEO for two years.
He is a 1971 graduate of Utah State University and has a master’s degree in civil engineering from USC. He is active in the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
The firm is constructing major projects for Southern California Gas Co., Southern California Edison Co., Kaiser Permanente and Trammell Crow Co. Two current Gas Co. projects, totaling $11.5 million, are a 62,000-square-foot divisional headquarters in Northridge and a 70,000-square-foot facility in San Dimas.
