Community College Basketball : Orange Coast Captures Title in San Diego Mesa Tournament

Forward Alan Schlines scored 23 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Orange Coast College to a 63-55 victory over Rio Hondo Wednesday in the championship game of the San Diego Mesa men’s basketball tournament.
Dareck Crane added 12 points for OCC (15-3) and was named the tournament’s most valuable player. Derek Johnson added 11 for OCC.
In the Rancho Santiago tournament:
Saddleback 76, Washington Skagit Valley 69--Vincent Mason scored 21 points for Saddleback (7-7) and Sean Keyes 16 in the opening round.
In the Mesa, Ariz. Rotary tournament:
Cypress 69, Scottsdale 66 (OT)--Mike Varos scored 16 points for Cypress in the first round. Mike Reid added 14 and Grayle Humphrey 13 for Cypress.
In the Palomar tournament:
MiraCosta 94, Fullerton 84--Geoff Adams and Mike Goff each scored 18 for Fullerton in the second round.
