The San Diego City Council voted Monday to have the city manager’s office draft an ordinance that would impose so-called regional impact fees on developers.
The idea behind the fees is to have developers--both residential and commercial--pay extra taxes when they build something that would have an impact on the entire city or a large part of it.
A public hearing is set for June 20.
