Prep Volleyball Finals Expanded

For the first time, the Southern Section high school boys’ volleyball tournament will have three divisional finals, with a newly-added 2-A Division, today at Marina High School in Huntington Beach.
The Southern Section expanded to three divisions this season because of the increase in the number of schools with volleyball programs. Playa Del Rey St. Bernard will play Simi Valley Royal in the inaugural 2-A final at 2:30 p.m.
In the other divisional finals, top-seeded Manhattan Beach Mira Costa, 21-0. will meet Newport Beach Corona del Mar, 15-2, in the 4-A final at 7:30 p.m., and unseeded Glendale will face top-seeded and undefeated North Hollywood Harvard in the 3-A final at 5:30 p.m.
