Seahawks Defeat Cardinals, 16-10, Early in Overtime

TEMPE, Ariz. — Jeff Kemp’s 50-yard touchdown pass play to Louis Clark on the second play of overtime Friday night gave the Seattle Seahawks a 16-10 victory over the Phoenix Cardinals in a National Football League exhibition opener.
Phoenix forced the game into overtime on backup quarterback Tom Tupa’s 10-yard touchdown pass to rookie Andre Langley with 16 seconds left in regulation, capping a 15-play, 99-yard drive.
Kemp completed a 24-yard pass over the middle to Clark before finding him alone along the sideline for the winning score 1:06 into overtime.
Kemp, who played in just the second half, completed seven of 16 passes for 143 yards.
