Two men stabbed each other in an argument, apparently over drugs, leaving one man dead and the other jailed on suspicion of murder, authorities said Monday.
Hector Cardenas, 31, and Louie Rosales, 21, were arguing in an apartment at the York Motel on York Boulevard in the Mt. Washington area of Los Angeles about 7:10 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. J.J. Cerniglia said.
The argument was apparently over drugs and both men grabbed knives and stabbed each other, he said.
Cardenas was taken to Glendale Adventist Hospital, where he died of multiple stab wounds, he said.
Rosales was treated for his wounds and booked at the Parker Center Jail on suspicion of murder.
