Add Spain to the countries captured by “Batman.” The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Caped Crusader film set a record of $2.2 million for its opening weekend on 143 screens nationwide. In Madrid, fans lined up around the block at 12 theaters, contributing to an all-time Sunday take of $980,000.
There are feature films in the future of Landmark Entertainment Group, the theme park design specialists. Landmark has formed a new film division and has a start-up slate of five feature films by early 1990.
