T-Bill Rates Rise: Yields on seven-year Treasury notes rose in Wednesday’s auction to the highest level in six months. The average yield was 8.08%, up from 7.89% at the last auction on July 12. It was the highest rate since seven-year notes averaged 9.39% on April 12. The notes will carry a coupon interest rate of 8%, with each $10,000 in face value selling for $9,957.90. A total of $7.5 billion in notes was sold out of bids totaling $18.5 billion.
