Lynn Ross Wood; Aide to President Ronald Reagan

Lynn Ross Wood, a longtime political campaign organizer who became deputy of personnel operations in the Reagan White House. The New York native, who studied at UCLA, began working for Reagan in 1973 in Sacramento. She helped organize the Reagan for President dinner in 1979 at which Reagan announced his candidacy for the nation’s top office. After her White House stint, she was named executive director of the National Advisory Council on Adult Education. In Arlington, Va., on Oct. 2.
