Kennedy 21, Canoga Park 6--Quarterback Tony Vazquez threw touchdown passes of 35 and 10 yards to Jason Rosen to lead the Golden Cougars at Canoga Park.
The first scoring pass came with 20 seconds left in the first half and gave Kennedy a 7-0 lead. The 10-yard scoring pass came midway through the third quarter, capping a 13-play, 64-yard drive, and made the score 14-0.
Ontiwaun Carter carried the ball nine times in that drive for 46 yards and he scored Kennedy’s other touchdown on an 89-yard run late in the third quarter. Carter, who did not play in the first quarter, finished with 178 yards in 20 carries.
Canoga Park’s lone touchdown came late in the game on a 21-yard pass from David Erhardt to Valentine Douglas.
