Theater Training: Actress Hope Alexander-Willis was named artistic director intern at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, marking what theater officials say is the first time such a position has been created in a major professional American theater. The three-year internship begins this week. Alexander-Willis, who has performed with such theater groups as American Conservatory Theatre and South Coast Repertory, has been an actor, director and teacher for the last 28 years. She will assist LATC artistic director Bill Bushnell.
