WASHINGTON — The Voice of America, which normally broadcasts 11 hours of English programming and 13 hours of Arabic material to the Persian Gulf every day, will increase broadcasting time and switch to an all-news format in the event of war, a VOA spokesman said Tuesday.
The spokesman said English-language programming will jump to 18 hours daily and Arabic to 15 1/2.
Persian-language broadcasts aimed at Iran will also be increased, the spokesman said, from 3 1/2 to 4 hours daily.
