A St. Louis DJ who broadcast a MOCK EMERGENCY BULLETIN saying the U.S. was under nuclear attack has been taken off the air. Earlier this week, KSHE-FM disc jockey John Ulett broadcast a pre-recorded Emergency Broadcast System tape warning of an attack under way. The bulletin ran without a disclaimer, station officials said. Ulett had said he played the emergency bulletin in reaction to telephone calls from listeners calling for “Baghdad to be nuked.” The disc jockey said he wanted to “jolt people and make them think.” The Federal Communications Commission is investigating.
