World Leaders Appeal for Quick GATT Pact: Business leaders from 78 major international firms appealed for a quick GATT agreement, saying the collapse of the international trade talks could jeopardize a return to normal economic growth after the Persian Gulf War. The Paris-based International Chamber of Commerce issued the appeal in a letter signed by CEOs from more than 25 countries.
