STAY-AT-HOMES: The Gulf War has handed the county its second cultural casualty this week. Ballet star Sylvie Guillemcanceled her scheduled Costa Mesa performances next month with the American Ballet Theatre. The dance group said Guillem, who is in Britain, isn’t traveling because of “safety concerns” due to the war. . . . Yugoslav pianist Ivo Pogorelich canceled his entire U.S. tour, including a March 9 concert for the Orange County Philharmonic Society, for the same reason.
