Natural Causes Found in Boarding Home Death

Teri Lee, a mentally disabled woman found dead Feb. 18 in a Highland Park board-and-care home, died of natural causes, the Los Angeles County coroner said Monday.
An autopsy showed that Lee, 33, a diabetic, died of liver disease caused by chronic alcohol abuse, said coroner’s spokesman Robert Dambacher.
Lee was a resident of the Sunnyville Guest Home when she disappeared Feb. 15. Her decomposing body was found days later in the room of a 70-year-old, senile resident. The state Department of Social Services has since shut the home and has begun procedures to revoke its license.
