No. 15 Cal Poly Pomona Wins West

Debbie Wagner hit a three-point basket with seven seconds remaining Saturday night to give No. 15 Cal Poly Pomona a 58-56 victory over No. 19 UC Davis at Turlock, Calif., in the championship game of the NCAA Division II West Regional women’s basketball tournament.
Wagner, whose three-pointer in the closing seconds beat Barry University Friday night, put the Broncos (22-8) in the national quarterfinals next week against Southeast Missouri State (29-3) at a site to be determined.
Aimee Conner had 18 points for Davis (26-5).
